Simon (left) & Daniel (right) were rescued in Kranji Industrial Estate on 26th January 2011. They were hiding underneath a forklift truck just inches away from being squashed if the driver had not noticed them. They are typical puppies: lively, cuddly and very playful. They have a great appetite for affection and food (not necessarily in that order!) They sleep through the night and obey simple commands such as “come here!” They are learning quickly to use newspaper as their toilet and do the “necessary” whenever they are taken out into the garden.

Simon and Daniel are “Singapore Specials”, about six weeks old and they have been given a positive health check by our vet.  They have been micro-chipped and will be ready to be vaccinated in about two week’s time. They will grow up to be medium sized dogs with glossy black (Simon) and chocolate (Daniel) coats. Both of them have beautiful blue eyes!

We would love to keep Simon and Daniel, but we already have our quota of dogs and have reached the “legal limit” on the number of dogs allowed in one household.

It would be good if Simon and Daniel could stay together. But they will be just as happy to have two separate homes to call their own.

UPDATES (11 JAN)


Braven was discharged on 11 December and was fostered by a kind family with three other huskies. Braven was soon able to join the pack for their daily night walk of 3.5km as he was healing well. However, a neighbour complained to the condominium management and today, they had no choice but to transfer Braven to a boarding center.

Zeus Communications' core projects aim to sterilize street dogs and cats and lower the stray population. Often in the midst of catching strays for sterilization, we come across old, sick or injured dogs or cats. Rescue and rehoming has never been a priority of Zeus Communications' as the process of rehoming is extremely time consuming and requires the help of numerous volunteers conducting house checks, follow up visits, etc but we can't possibly turn a blind eye on the injured animals pleading with us for help. Animals can sense kindness and they often do approach us for help, although its not always easy to catch them. Some rescues take hours, days or even months to befriend the dog or cat and gain their trust. Sometimes, their injuries are so serious, it's too late to help. 

After the rescue and the provision of medical aid, when the dog / cat recovers, we often release them back to where they came from, be it the streets or a factory. We do try finding homes for them while they are recovering at the Vet, but with the HDB ruling against our local cross breeds we lovingly call "Pure Mongrels", and with most people wanting only "branded dogs", we often have no choice but to release them back to the streets when they have fully recovered.

However, some of them are just not made for the streets. They are either not street smart or more prone to getting injured or attacked. The weaker ones are at a higher risk of being infected again, especially if they have tick fever or heartworm; and many of these strays do suffer from this because of their poor living conditions. They are also at high risk of being hurt in traffic accidents or crushed by heavy vehicles in construction sites. Zeus Top Dogs hopes to bring these dogs away from their 'home' on the roads to real loving homes where they can enjoy warmth and love, and a family they truly deserve. Many of these strays die on the streets, never ever experiencing love. Do consider adopting a rescued street animal; they bring joy into your lives and their gratefulness to you is overwhelming. Adopt a loyal companion today!

Every single one of these dogs / cats call the streets "home". What is the difference between them and a pure breed / pedigree? These dogs are pure mongrels, pedigrees in their own rights and not only are they just as good looking, they are hardier, stronger, tougher and true survivors. Anyone who has pure mongrels can count their blessings that they indeed do have a loyal companion for life.

For Adoption - Goyang Goyang

Goyang was a cute little stray puppy and she was injured when she was 3 mths old, burnt by a car's exhaust pipes while hiding underneath for shelter and protection. We moved her to a factory where she lived rather happily for more than a year. Soon, more dogs migrated to the factory and Goyang, despite being big and strong, is really a timid girl and the other dogs ganged up and attacked her.

One night we found her with numerous puncture wounds on her body and neck and a huge gaping wound on her hind leg. We rushed her to the vet where she was warded two weeks for recovery.

Goyang is now 2 years old. She is shy and reserved, taking quite a long while to trust humans or other dogs but she is not aggressive and when she finally lets her guard down to love you, rest assured, you have a loyal guard dog for life.

Shadow and Jewel have been together since they were young and are inseparable. They had been used for breeding all their live (7 years) by 2 different breeders. When they no longer served their purpose and could no longer make money for the breeders, they gave them up without even batting an eyelid! How inhuman can a human being be?

A kind young girl heard of their plight and decided to adopt them, boarding them with a home boarder, but unfortunately after a few months, the financial burden became too heavy for this young girl. A group of friends came to know of these two dogs and decided to step in and help. Together, they decided to transfer Shadow and Jewel to a proper boarding place with more facilities, where they get to swim, walk, interact freely with other dogs. They are showered with love by their caretakers as well. With the help of Zeus Communications, Shadow and Jewel were finally sterilized, thus will never ever have to be bred for profit by inhumane people again.

Boarding two dogs does not come cheap; Shadow and Jewel do need to find a good, loving home soon. This good looking pair is a pleasure to own and we are hoping they will continue to be able to live together. These huskies are NOT HDB-Approved.
